Bella Vista, Land of Dogs and Snakes
Among incidents reported to the Bella Vista Police Department according to records, were the following:
• At 8: 45 a. m. Monday, a police officer helped an employee at the Bella Vista Animal Shelter remove a chain from a dog’s neck.
• At 9: 01 a. m. Monday, a brown dog was reported loose on Granshire Drive.
• At 9: 04 a. m. Monday, a caller reported a large copperhead in the front yard.
• At 9: 33 a. m. Monday, a German shepherd on Upwell Lane was taken to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.
• At 10: 41 a. m. Monday, a black-and-white terrier was reported loose on Basore Drive.
• At 10: 59 a. m. Monday, a black-and-white dog was reported loose on Camden Road near the pavilion.
• At 12: 15 p. m. Monday, a caller reported that a Jack Russell terrier on Tiree Drive was on a chain without shelter.
• At 4: 21 p. m. Monday, a caller on Melanie Circle reported a snake on the back deck.
• At 2: 12 p. m. Tuesday, dogs were reported loose on Newnham Lane.
• At 6: 35 p. m. Tuesday, a pit bull was reported loose on Basildon Circle.
• At 6: 39 p. m. Tuesday, a barking dog was reported on Sheneman Drive.
